Rhino3D – Level 1
Program description Version 21 January 2025
Course objectives:
Become proficient in the use of Rhino 3D (basic).
Students that complete the course successfully will have learned to:
– Utilize the features of the Rhino user interface
– Customize your modelling environment
– Create basic graphic objects—lines, circles, arcs, curves, solids, and surfaces
– Model with precision using coordinate input, object snaps, and SmartTrack™ tools
– Modify curves and surfaces with edit commands and Gumball
– Use control point editing to modify curves and surfaces
– Analyze your model
– Display any portion of the model
– Export and import models to and from different file formats
– Render the model using Rhino Render
– Dimension and annotate model with test and hatch
– Use Layouts to arrange views of model on paper for printing
Syllabus:
The course will cover:
– User Interface
– Creation and editing of curves, surfaces and solids.
Software of reference: Rhino3D
Course venue / delivery mode: Webinar, Remote
Duration : 6 x 3.5 hours, total 21 hours
Prerequisites: Participants must have Rhino3D installed, operational and licensed (trial license ok)
Teaching Method: Worked exercises, follow the teacher.
Evaluation Method: The training course is non-certifying. The instructor monitors the participants’ progress via an evaluation table.
