Course objectives
This course covers basic ship seakeeping theory & practice. The course is intended for naval architects and marine engineers, with a need to understand and perform ship motion analysis: passenger comfort, deck accelerations, probability of slamming or shipping of green water.
By the end of the course, participants are able to:
– Prepare a GHS geometry file for ship motion analysis
– Setup a Seakeeping study
– Output RAOs, motions and accelerations
